Pink Gellac is once again supporting Pink Ribbon this year

Special Heroic Pink gel polish available from October 2024 in all Pink Gellac stores and online

HILVERSUM, 1 August 2024 – Pink Gellac, a leading provider of gel polish in Europe, is once again committing to Pink Ribbon this year. Pink Gellac is launching a special ‘Pink Ribbon’ gel polish in a new colour: Heroic Pink, the Pink Ribbon Bracelet will be sold in all Pink Gellac stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, and several special events areplanned, such as the participation of gel polish brand employees in the Pink Ribbon Dam to Dam Walk on Saturday, 21 September.

Pink Gellac and Pink Ribbon began their collaboration last year. Almost 13,000 euros were raised for the organisation, which collects funds for research and projects in the field of breast cancer. Pink Ribbon is part of KWF. KWF is a Dutch foundation committed to fighting cancer through scientific research, education, patient support, and fundraising.

October: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The special Pink Ribbon gel polish will be available from October via the Pink Gellac webshop and in all twelve of the brand’s stores. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Pink Ribbon. The well-known Pink Ribbon bracelet will also be on sale from October.

More than just the same colour

This year, Pink Gellac aims for a higher amount. “Pink Gellac and Pink
Ribbon are more than just names that share the same colour,” explains Pink Gellac CEO Thera Strietman about the decision to support Pink Ribbon. “At Pink Gellac, we want to create moments of happiness and confidence; this is how we add colour to daily life. We encourage individuality, confidence, and self-expression and believe that everyone deserves to feel confident and strong.”

Kelly Grilk, Relationship Manager at Pink Ribbon: “We are very happy that Pink Gellac is once again taking action for Pink Ribbon, and we are very grateful for this. Thanks to this support, it is possible to finance important and necessary breast cancer research. This is still very much needed because in the Netherlands, 1 in 7 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks to research, these women receive better treatments, among other things.”

Pink Ribbon strives for a better quality of life for (former) cancer patients and their loved ones, as well as providing good care in the final stages of life. Everyone deserves to shine, not only on the outside but also from within. Together with Pink Ribbon, we want to ensure that everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.”
