Accessibility Statement
Accessibility statement
PBC International BV wants everyone to be able to use pinkgellac.com, including people with a visual, motor or other impairment.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
Current status
pinkgellac.com is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. This is based on an accessibility audit of the website carried out in August 2026. Parts of the site do not yet fully meet the standard.
What already works well
- Product images have descriptive alternative text.
- A "Skip to content" link lets you jump straight to the main content.
- In checkout, every field has a label and supports autofill.
- Keyboard focus is visible on most elements.
- Pages can be zoomed in, and our policy pages are linked in the footer.
Known limitations
- Some text has too little colour contrast with its background, which makes it hard to read.
- The tabs in the reviews section do not have a name, so screen readers cannot announce them.
- Some image links (for example tiles and logos) have no text, so screen readers cannot tell where they lead.
- On links that open a new window, screen readers read out an incorrect technical message instead of "opens in a new window".
- Pages on our Dutch store are marked as English, so screen readers may use the wrong pronunciation.
- Some pages have more than one main heading, or none, which makes them harder to navigate.
- Some filters and colour swatches have no label, so screen readers cannot name them.
- When navigating by keyboard, focus can land on hidden elements, such as closed menus or carousel slides that are off screen.
- Some menus are not labelled, and some interactive elements refer to incorrect or duplicate IDs.
We are working on fixing these issues.
