Baby Boomer nails is a design with a soft fade from a pink base to a white tip. It’s a bit like a French manicure, but more blended and a little more natural-looking.
To get that smooth transition, it really helps to use shades that are slightly semi-transparent. Especially if you're just starting out, it makes blending a lot easier and more forgiving. For this version, we're using 448 Blushed Tulle, paired with 450 Laced White. Both are shimmering colours, but if you prefer a non-shimmery look, you can swap Blushed Tulle for 188 Charming Nude or 388 Rosewater Pink, and use 383 Icy White instead of Laced White. There are loads of other colour combos you can try, but these are great if you're going for that classic baby boom look.
Start with the perfect nail prep routine and your favourite Base Coat. Don't forget to finish off your look with Top Coat and to clean the sticky residue with Cleaner.
Step 1: Start with the white tip
Apply a layer of 450 Laced White on the top half of your nail. Then take your Fine Liner Brush to blend out the harsh line at the bottom to create a smooth fade.

Step 2: Cure this layer for 60 seconds
When you're happy with the fade, cure the gel polish for 60 seconds under the LED lamp. For more coverage or intensity, repeat the previous step and cure the additional layer as well.
Step 3: Blend in the neutral tone
Apply 448 Blushed Tulle over the full nail. If you feel like you need to remove a bit of the neutral pink from the top half, you can use the Fine Liner Brush again before curing to blend the pink into the white. When you're happy with the result, cure for 60 seconds under the LED lamp.

And that’s how you create the perfect Baby Boomer nails at home. With the right colours and tools, you’ll master this classic look in no time. Just take your time, have a bit of patience and some blending practice, but we’re confident you’ll get it just right.
