How to do your own pedicure?
Summer is coming and sneakers are being replaced by flip-flops. This, of course, requires well maintained feet and beautifully painted toenails. Did you know that you can easily do your own pedicure at home with Pink Gellac? Gel polish is perfect for applying to your toenails and will last for up to 8 weeks! Tip: Do not cut toenails with gel polish on, but file them when you want to trim them.
Because the gel polish dries instantly after curing under the LED lamp, you don't have to worry about drying time. You can step straight into your flip-flops without damaging your painted toenails!

PREPARING YOUR FEET
1. FOOT BATH
- Fill a foot bath with lukewarm water and soak your feet for up to 10 minutes. You can also add some lavender oil or almond oil to the lukewarm water beforehand for extra soft feet.
2. USING A FOOT FILE
- Remove your feet from the foot bath and pat them slightly dry with a towel. Before using the foot file, it is important that the feet are still slightly damp and not completely dry.
- Scrub the calluses in circular motions with the pumice stone side of the foot file. Then treat the rough spots on the feet with the finer grit of the foot file. After this, rinse the feet thoroughly and dry them well with a towel.
Applying Gel Polish
1. Push back cuticles
Push back the cuticles with a Woodstick or Cuticle Pusher. This makes it easier to apply the polish to the toenails.
2. Cutting & filing
Trim the toenails if necessary. File and lightly buff the toenails with the Polishing Block.
3. Apply Toe Spreaders
Apply toe spreaders so that the toenails do not touch each other. You can also roll up 8 Nail Wipes and put them between the toes.
4. Cleaning & Degreasing
Clean the nails with the Cleaner.
5. Apply Prep Booster
Apply the Prep Booster and let it air dry for 30 seconds.
6. Apply Base Coat
Apply a layer of Base and let it harden in the LED lamp for 60 seconds. The LED lamp L is perfect if you are going to apply a gel polish pedicure because of the removable bottom! This allows you to easily place the lamp over your foot without bumping your painted toenails against the inside of the lamp.
7. Apply Colour
Apply two coats of your favorite colour and let both coats cure for 60 seconds under the LED lamp.
8. Apply Top Coat
Apply one of our Top Coats over the entire nail and leave to harden for 60 seconds under the LED lamp. Have you used the Shine Top Coat? Then remove the sticky layer with the Cleaner.
9. Remove toe spreaders
Remove the toe spreaders and you are ready to go!
Toenails grow slower and tend to be sturdier than fingernails. As a result, the gel polish will last extra long and last longer. Enjoy long-lasting beautiful, well-groomed feet!
