Demand & Supply Planning and Sustainability Intern | Start Jan/Feb 2027
Start: January/February 2027
Hours: 32–40 per week
Location: Hilversum, the Netherlands
Live a little louder – in the supply chain too
Would you like to work for an international, fast-growing company? Pink Gellac makes salon-quality nails accessible at home, all across Europe – and we launch new colours every month. Behind every glossy top coat is a chain of suppliers, production partners, warehouse, stores and webshop.
From January/February 2027 we're looking for a Demand & Supply Planning and Sustainability Intern to join our Operations team. You'll help us keep the right products in the right place at the right time – and find smarter, more sustainable ways to get them there.
What will you do?
You'll get hands-on experience with day-to-day planning and work on your own internship assignment around sustainability in the chain. We'll shape the assignment together with your school.
Demand Planning
- Support the development of forecasts based on sales data, trends and seasonality.
- Analyse forecast accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the planning of new product launches, colours and collections.
- Analyse sales and inventory data to identify trends, opportunities and potential risks.
Supply Planning
- Support the monitoring of stock levels, safety stock and reorder points.
- Assist with preparing and following up on purchase orders with international suppliers.
- Track lead times, backorders and supplier performance.
- Help keep master data and item information accurate and up to date.
- Support reporting on KPIs such as stock value, service level and inventory turnover.
- Contribute ideas on how to further optimise stock availability and inventory planning.
Sustainability
- Help further develop our B Corp certification towards the Year 3 and Year 5 requirements, with a focus on circularity, packaging and environmental impact across the supply chain.
- Collect and analyse relevant sustainability and supply chain data.
- Support the development of policies, reports and improvement plans.
- Assist in rolling out supply chain evaluations and assessing supplier performance from a sustainability perspective.
- Translate your findings into concrete and feasible improvement proposals for the team.
Who are you?
You don't need to be an experienced planner yet – but you're curious about how a supply chain works and how to make it better.
- You're available for a full semester, 32–40 hours per week, starting January/February 2027.
- You're enrolled in an HBO or WO programme, for example supply chain management, logistics, (industrial) business administration or a sustainability-related study.
- You're pro-active, open-minded and motivated to learn.
- You love working with numbers, Excel doesn't scare you, and you enjoy turning data into concrete decisions.
- Sustainability is more than a buzzword to you: you want to make it practical and measurable.
- You're fluent in English and Dutch; any additional language is a bonus.
What do we offer?
Our team welcomes you with open arms and we would like to see you grow too! Of course, we offer an internship allowance and you don't have to bring your own lunch as we get our daily delivery from the local bakery and supermarket.
