HILVERSUM, 18 June 2025 – Pink Gellac, the Dutch beauty brand specialising in gel polish and accessories, has received the official Thuiswinkel Sustainability Certification. The certificate is awarded after successfully completing an extensive audit on sustainability themes important to webshops. The audit is conducted by independent assessors and sets strict requirements for each theme.
The independent certification is the crowning achievement of an intensive process in which Pink Gellac, together with external experts, examined and further refined its processes, supply chain responsibility, and environmental performance. This led to optimisations in packaging materials, logistics, energy consumption, and transparent customer communication on sustainability.
Strong commitment to sustainability
“Although, as a certified B Corp, we already place a strong emphasis on sustainability, this certification provided us with new insights and required additional and concrete steps regarding environmental impact and supply chain responsibility,” says Mariska Leenders, Sustainability Manager at Pink Gellac. “That’s why we are especially proud of this recognition. It shows that we not only create beautiful products but also take responsibility for the world around us and continue to lead in this area.”
The Thuiswinkel Sustainability Certification was introduced at the end of 2024 and has since become one of the most important benchmarks in sustainable e-commerce. The certification is built around the pillars of strategy, circular economy, product range, packaging, delivery, and returns. The Thuiswinkel Sustainability Certification gives consumers the assurance that a webshop is taking serious steps in the area of sustainability.
