Twinkly Stars Nail Art
Do you want to shine and twinkle no matter the occasion? We take this twinkle very seriously here: Let’s create an actual star and some twinkles! Go through our step-by-step plan on how to create your twinkly nail art and to find out what products you need for it.
What do you need?
Prep your nails
Prepare your nails by filing them into the desired shape. Remove the natural shine from your nails with a polishing block. Use the Cleaner to degrease and clean the nails. Apply the Prep Booster and allow it to air dry for 30 seconds.
Step 1 – Apply Base Coat
Apply your favourite base coat and let it cure for 60 seconds under the LED lamp.
Step 2 – Base Colour
Apply two layers of 166 Vintage Nude all over the nail. Let both layers cure for 60 seconds under the LED lamp.
Step 3 – Apply Glitter
Apply a layer of 204 Diamond Silver. Let it cure for 60 seconds under the LED lamp. Clean your brush in the meantime.
Step 4 – The Stars
Take a bit of 299 Coco White on the Dotting Tool and put two small diagonal dots on your nail. Do not cure this yet under the LED lamp.
Step 5 – The Stars
Starting in each dot, use your Detail Brush to draw two vertical lines in opposite direction, and two slightly shorter horizontal lines also in opposite direction. The length of the lines depends on how big you want make each star to let it seem to be twinkling.
Optionally, you can add some more detail by drawing some extra lines from the body of the star along the vertical and horizontal lines. This will turn your drawing from a simple cross to a shining star. When you’re done, let this cure for 60 seconds under the LED lamp.
Step 6 - Apply Top Coat
Final step: Apply one of our Top Coats over the entire nail and let it cure for 60 seconds under the LED lamp. Did you use the Shine Top Coat? Then remove the adhesive layer with the Cleaner.
And that’s how a star is born. Curious about another gel polish colour? You can pick any colour from our Pink Gellac assortment, this nail art will make any colour extra twinkly!
