What is an Effect Coat?

An Effect Coat is a gel polish coat which contains a special finish. You apply the Effect Coat over an already cured gel polish colour, for example pink, blue or lilac. Due to the special finish of the Effect Coat, a whole new effect is created over the gel polish colour underneath. This effect is iridescent so multi-coloured and makes the colour coat change and sparkle depending on the angle of light and viewing position.

Which Effect Coats are available?

The Moonstone Mirage collection consists of five Effect Coats. Celestial Green provides an iridescent green shimmer. Moonlit Blue adds a subtle blue glow. Glowing Gold is like a warm, magical aura over your nails. Lunar Lilac gives your nails a delicate purple glow. Cosmic Red leaves a subtle red glow on your nails.

Which colours go beautifully with which Effect Coat?

Of course, you can apply the Effect Coats over any colour. But some combinations are simply a match made in heaven! The Effect Coats result in a different effect over every nail polish colour. Are you going to apply Lunar Lilac over 266 Baby Blue? This will give a completely different effect than if you apply the same Effect Coat over 265 Milkshake Pink. To get you started, we have listed the most beautiful combinations.
