An Effect Coat is a gel polish coat which contains a special finish. You apply the Effect Coat over an already cured gel polish colour, for example pink, blue or lilac. Due to the special finish of the Effect Coat, a whole new effect is created over the gel polish colour underneath. This effect is iridescent so multi-coloured and makes the colour coat change and sparkle depending on the angle of light and viewing position.

The Effect Coats are not regular gel polish colours or top coats. You apply the Effect Coat after you have applied the regular gel polish colour and before you apply the top coat. It is important to let the colour coat cure under the LED lamp before applying the Effect Coat.

Of course, you can apply the Effect Coats over any colour. But some combinations are simply a match made in heaven! The Effect Coats result in a different effect over every nail polish colour. Are you going to apply Lunar Lilac over 266 Baby Blue? This will give a completely different effect than if you apply the same Effect Coat over 265 Milkshake Pink.
